Re: The Furious Five are more like the Fucking Enraged Five

Po: It is… so not great to be back here. I think I’d rather run up and down the Jade Palace stairs a hundred times, and everyone knows how much I hate stairs!

I feel that.

Crane: Once again, Jean Valjean was banned from staying in common inns for the mere crime of stealing bread. Ranulf from Path of Radiance had vigilantes trying to hand him over to the evil invader army for being a laguz. This guy should have gotten the Tai Lung treatment based on the crime he supposedly did.

And also for being the Shield Hero, something this show never comprehends.

Monkey: YOU! HAD! SO! MANY! OTHER! WAYS! TO! RESPOND! TO! THAT!

Viper: See, in another universe where Naofumi was genuinely screwed over, left without options because no one wants to join him and took in Raphtalia out of pity and a sense of camaraderie, he probably could have pointed out that he was set up without options rather than just completely affirming the accusation.

Well...just that.

Tigress: I believe this video best sums up the issue when it comes to “opinions,” especially when it comes to basic human rights. We would also like to say we and the commentator stand with Palestine and everyone else can too by doing a daily click to help send donations, while also supporting other causes such as women, children, the environment, refugees and eliminating poverty. We believe doing these clicks are the best way to give what this series stands for the middle finger.

Quite. (Though, as noted by prince_chrom, links need to be fixed.)

Mantis: Considering all the ways this is a covert Imperial Japan apologist show, I’m not surprised they completely fumbled the bag with a Chinese folktale. I guess you could say that reference is a mao dun.

Heh, good one, and accurate.

Po: Yeah, these all sound like legendary villainous weapons that corrupt the wielder. We sure the divine delivery service didn’t get confused when dropping these off?

One can have genuinely well-intentioned weapons that corrupt the wielder, but of course this show doesn't want to admit that even the destructive potential of these kind of weapons exists when it impacts Naofumi. Hence, the suspiciously MANLY Wrath Shield.
