I tortured myself reading both the Conquest and Birthright and holy shit is the author a hateful piece of work about Birthright. Everyone's a racist (including the Corrin because not being one is being a "goody two shoes") and the author's notes are just fueled with hatred and pettiness and it shows in the writing. I both wish you guys got to tearing it apart asap but also don't wish the pain upon you. It would definitely break the Dimmer Light counter (at least we might see more Brynn, Kaden, Selkie and Kanaden?)
The Conquest thing also suffers from edginess, stuff that goes nowhere, and inconsistencies with the Corrin, like she's both a bitch who doesn't take responsibility and yet still tries to have the whole mercy thing, it's like the fic is trying to have its cake and eat it too. At least DeathDealerInc had the emotional maturity and intelligence to realize how deeply flawed his story was. This one just whines about the criticism of Nerr being a terrible person

I'm all for giving Hoshido more flaws (after all in my story Ryoma exiled Corrin for her neutrality choice and didn't let her see her husband and daughter, which doesn't fly with several characters at all) but making them hostilely xenophobic is just tipping the scale to the other side. If the author didn't like Birthright they should have just stopped at Conquest and called it an ending. It still wouldn't have been great but I think I would be less inclined to mount this series's metaphorical head on a pike
